My overall experience has been great with SmarterSelect.

Pros

It was extremely user friendly and easy to use for anyone at any level of skill in technology. I have no complaints.

Pros

Fairly intuitive to use and it is easy to make changes.

Cons

Frequently crashes when traffic gets too high, like at deadlines. When it does, customer service goes nearly silent.

My experiance using this software was applicant management. It was overall great!

Pros

The customer service is great! I had many many questions while I was needing the software during out heavy recruiting season.

Cons

The software is somewhat confusing and there seems to be glitches in the system. Everything that I found out was incorrect however was easily fixable which I greatly appreciated.

Pros

Software is easily set up, very user friendly on the admin end. From what I hear from applicants the software is easy for them to use as well.

Cons

There have been issues with individuals accidentally creating admin accounts rather than applicant accounts. We have also heard that when information is entered into a given section it cannot be removed by the applicant.

I have been using SmarterSelect for 4 years, I would recommend their services.

Pros

Easy to use, love the option to create your own scholarship layout.

Cons

I wish it had more functions at the lower cost-point, hopefully my budget will increase in the future to purchase the upgraded software.

Great value for the money

We are a small company with a small budget and SmarterSelect is perfect for us. It works for our purposes within our budget. It might not be the Cadillac but we can't afford the Cadillac. It was hard not having phone customer support in the beginning but they are very prompt on email support except on weekends.

Pros

Relatively easy to use, prompt customer support, continue to improve the product.

Cons

No phone support in emergencies, we use SS for both grants and scholarships and find that it is too scholarship-centric. I would recommend it more if it had some improvements for grants.
